Is it IPL, Cold IPA, Italian Pilsner or even Cold Pale Ale? Well, taking the direction from a bunch of fantastic beers called West Coast Pils while in San Diego, we have taken their lead on the name here. IPL could be any lager style that is hoppy.
Cold IPA generally contains adjuncts, is higher abv and is often fermented between lager and ale temperatures.
Italian Pilsner is typically based on European noble style hops. Cold Pale Ale…. does it even exist? This West Coast Pils is what you would get if you took German Pils and gave it a distinctly West Coast sensibility.
